Oyakodon おやこどん (親子丼)

This is another simple japanese food which you can try it out, it is called Oyakodon. The kanji for oyakodon is親子丼(=parent, =children, =rice in a bowl), the name created because there are chicken(parent) and egg(children) in the same bowl. Sound crazy ya! However, this is the traditional dish which already more than 100 year old. Yet…it is so simple to cook it. You must try it out!

这是一道超简单的日本料理,那就是親子丼。日本人会把鸡肉蛋盖饭叫为親子丼是因为鸡肉是“親”,鸡蛋是“子”。(母子两在一个碗里,好可怜哦!)虽然名字很奇怪,但它确实是一道超过百年历史的传统日式料理。还有,它真的很简单。你一定要试试烹调看看哦!


Oyakodon

Ingredients:
200g boneless chicken thigh meat, diced
1 large onion, sliced
Green onion, shredded
3 eggs
Parsley

Sauce Ingredients:
2 1 / 2 tbsp Mirin
2 1 / 2 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tsp Sugar
200ml Water

Methods:
  1. Crack the eggs into small bowl and set aside. Prepare another bowl, add all the sauce materials, and mix thoroughly.
  2. Pour the sauce into the wok, cook the sauce until it boil, add the chicken meat, then add onion, cook until it is well cooked (about 4 minutes).
  3. Add in the shredded green onions, stir well, and pour in the eggs.
  4. Stop the heat after the eggs is half-cooked (remain warm on wok will keep cooking the eggs), sprinkle some parsley, serve it with steamed white rice.


親子丼

材料﹕
200g去骨雞腿肉,切块
1顆大洋蔥,切丝
一把青葱,切丝
3顆鸡蛋
少许香菜

醬汁材料﹕
2 1/2大匙味醂
2 1/2大匙醬油
1小匙
200ml

作法﹕
  1. 把蛋打入小碗,备用。准备另一小碗,加入所有醬汁材料﹐調勻。
  2. 把醬汁倒進热鍋裡﹐煮滾,加入雞肉﹐再加入洋蔥絲,煮至熟(大約4分鐘)。
  3. 雞肉熟后,加入青葱,稍微搅拌,然后把蛋液以螺旋狀淋在鍋內的材料上。
  4. 把所有材料稍微炒散開,撒上香菜,待蛋液半熟時就熄火,把煮好的鸡肉蛋鋪蓋在白飯上,就好了。
